ANSI A250.4 - Testing Procedure and Acceptable Criteria for Physical Endurance for Steel Doors, Frames, Frame Anchors, and Hardware Reinforcing. Testing criteria, maximum 1,00,000 cycles. Testing conducted on a nominal 3'-0" x 7'-0" flush door and welded frame, Typical product passed 1,000,000 cycles. 16 Ga. Steel Stiffened Door & 14 Ga. Frame - passed 4,000,000 cycles, test was stopped.  

Latest testing conducted in 2021: Windstorm Resistant Testing

Product: Thermally broken 14 Ga. A60 Galvannealed Frame & 16 Ga. Galvannealed Door with internal core assembly consisting of rigid polyurethane board sandwiched between 'Z' shaped steel channels welded to a internal flat steel sheet. Internal core assebly laminated to face sheets.

Testing Criteria:

ASTM E330 - Standard Test Method for Structural Performance of Exterior Windows, Doors, Skylights, and Curtain Wall by Uniform Static Air Pressure.

ASTM E1886 - Standard Test Method for Performance of Exterior Windows, Curtain Walls, Doors, and Impact Protective Systems by Missiles and exposed to Cyclic Pressure Differentials.

ASTM F1996 - Standard Specifications for Performance of Exterior Windows, Curtain Walls, Doors, and Impact Protective Systems by Windborne Debris in Hurricanes.

     Met Performance requirements for Missile Level D, Wind Zone 4

ASTM C1363-11 - Standard Test Method for the Thermal Performance of Building Materials and Envelope Assemblies by means of a Hot Box Apparatus.

    Thermal Transmittance (U) : 0.57 btu/hr-sq. ft-F.

ANSI A250.4 (2011) - Test Procedure and Acceptance Criteria for Physical Endurance for Steel Doors, Frames, and Frame Anchors.
